VCRocks Colorful Cruisin' Blog Hop

Welcome to VCRocks last blog hop of the year. This month we are to share our favorite colors. I love bright colors. So I will be sharing from the Brights Family and one In Color.
Luckily, this blog hop happened right when I was to go to the Sr. Ctr. on Friday to make cards and then I step those up for my Stamp Camp today. It gave me the perfect opportunity to use 2 of my newest stamp sets. The first card is the Sr. Ctr. version and the second is the stepped up version for Stamp Camp.

The first card is using new Birthday Fiesta stamp set with the coordinating Fiesta Time Framelits. Colors used are Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Crumb Cake and In Color, Cucumber Crush.

The flower on the cactus is from the Tree Builder Punch.

The second card was made using Swirly Bird stamp set with th coordinating Swirly Scribles Thinlits. The sun was made with a sponge dauber and just burnished/rubbed on. Colors used are Pool Party (Subtles), Pacific Point, Real Red and Daffodil Delight.

August 2016 Stamp Camp

Another fun get together with friends and today it was all some recently made new friends. They are Maryann's stamping group and meetup monthly to stamp down in Ruther Glen/Lake Caroline. We had a great time. I took the cards I made at the Sr. Ctr. yesterday and stepped them up for even cuter cards. Loving the bright colors and they did too! We had lot of fun!

Maryann Hoffmann and her cards
She used Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango on her Fiesta card.

 Pat and her cards
She used Cucumber Crush and Tangerine Tango for her Fiesta card.

Kathy Schutty showing her inky fingers. Having to reinforce to only tap with the new pads and not push down. LOL!

Linda Boone and her cards
She also used Cucumber Crush and Tangerine Tango on her Fiesta card.

I made these cards after everyone had left.

Kathy had added a third streamer on her card and it really made it POP more, so I had to make one with the extra streamer. I also made it in the other color combo they were doing.

Decided to make one with a different sentiment.

Bonnye had to stamp too. This is her creation.

Sr. Center Cards

This month I decided to get a little more involved in the cards I did with them and I pre-cut the images needed for 2 different cards. I only had to do the stamping for 2 of them. They assembled them themselves. Everyone did a great job with a couple doing a different color combo from mine.
Note: On their cards, I could not find the stamp for the blue part of boat and did not have my markers with me, so used some reg. markers they had and drew a boat on each of their cards.

June Sr. Center Cardmaking Day (Rescheduled and done on 7/1/16)

Due to the Sr. Ctr.'s air conditioning breaking, the center closed the day I was to go, so I rescheduled as I wasn't going to be here for our usual date in July, so I wouldn't go until August again. I actually had everything pre-cut and stamped in advance and was ready when I got the email about the cancellation. So we rescheduled for 7/1. They really liked the cards I had this time and made more than usual. I gave them several color choices in each and they used up a lot of what I precut. I had no roses left. A couple did a little recreating. I like it when they do that and we have a couple of new ladies that are crafty, so I'm seeing more creativity again and not having to make the cards for them and they help the ones that need the assistance.

 My samples

Collection of most of the cards made
(Only 4 of Margarette's shown(she made 7) and BJ had already left with her 4 cards)

 Margarette's 4 cards

 Gail's cards
(helped her some as she has some vision issues now)

2 on left are Ethel's and the 2 on right are Denise's

The 3 in front and turquoise one in back are Francis's. Denise helped her with hers.

Cards I made for Cindy T. the Sr. Ctr. Manager.
Gave her my 2 samples and then she requested 3 more balloon cards.

All Dolled Up Kit

This was a kit that was available for a limited time. Unfortunately, it is no longer available. I had gotten it months ago and am just now getting around to doing it. I only added the pearls and the Real Red Ink. Everything else was in the kit.

Beary Best Birthday Invite

A friend and fellow demo asked me if I had this set (Beary Best Friends) and if I could do her a favor and make some invitations for her granddaughter's 7th birthday. She was going to be out-of-town and didn't have time to make them. She found some samples on SCS and from one of those I created these. You can see the inspiration card by Kelly Acheson here.

I liked these so much I made an extras for myself.

My Stampin' Up! Open House

Today was my Open House to show everyone some of the new products and catalogs. Well, I had some of the new products, but if not for my downline, Gabby, I would not have had any catalogs. She ordered hers the day before I did and received hers several days ago and I am still waiting. Luckily, she was able to spare some and gave me one and then shared 3 more for me to hand out. Other than she and her mom, I had 2 customers that attended the Open House, so that worked out great (the third had to cancel for an emergency, so she will get hers tomorrow). Anyway, the Lovely Letters Monogram Note card is the project I had prepared for the Make-n-Take. This is a total case from Lee Conrey (StampingleeYours), I LOVE this card. Simple, yet elegant.

Tina arrived first and since the others we knew would not be coming until much later, we decided to play and she created the card using the new Level 2 Hostess set "Serene Spring" (bunny card) (this one is actually one that Margarethe did when she arrived, Tina did use a retired DSP paper with Wild Wasabi on hers). She also used the new In Color Pink Piroquette. I started playing and made the simple card with the narrow red ribbon and the new Wow Flowers stamp set, after everyone left and since I was still in the stamping mood and everything was still out, I played and made the second card with the same set, but used the same layout as the monogrammed card. LOVE IT! Both Wow Flowers cards were also made using the new In Colors - Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango. I had three door prizes - Margarethe won the 1-1/4" circle punch, Tina won the Love & Happiness Rub-ons (2007 SAB item) and Darlene won the retired East Coast Designer Series Paper. We had a great time, wish more of you could have attended. I am having a class on Aug. 30th, 12-3pm to make the monogrammed cards again (5 for $10), so you will be able to pick your catalogs up then if you have not gotten it yet.

Birthday Whimsy

Here is the first card we did, all but one of the girls at the workshop are beginners, so I am keeping it simple...they wanted to learn to emboss. We used Craft Ink in Tempting Turquoise and YoYo Yello, same in cardstock as well as Taken with Teal. Used clear embossing powder over that.

House-Mouse

I love House-Mouse! I rarely use my non-SU stamps, as I always feel like I need to be using them, but I just loved this one and decided it was the perfect one for a friend of mine that just had her 62nd birthday. Pink is her favorite color. I also just recently broke down and used the ACMoore gift card I received from my DH for Christmas and purchased myself a Cuttlebug and several embossing folders, so I had to use the birthday one on this card. I used the SU Write Me a Memory II fonts on the computer and typed the inside sentiment " Have a Poppin' Great Birthday!" She loved the card!
