The new Stampin' Up! 2014-'15 catalog will be out soon - June2! I can hardly wait for you to see and enjoy the new layout and see all the new stamp sets and new products to be offered.
The first item I want to show you is the new Blendabilities. I've only bought 2 of the new sets, but plan to get more as I have fallen in love with them. While demonstrators have been able to preorder a few select colors, unfortunately they will NOT be available to the public when the catalog goes live, but will be released later (no definite date given, but I've heard end of June, early July). I'm still sharing now to show you how wonderful this product is and hope you will be as excited as I am for it to come out.
So, what is the difference? Simply put, the Blendabilities are alcohol-based, while the original markers are water-based. This is why they blend so much better. The Blendabilities come in a set of 3 markers, light, medium and dark in that color. Skintone set is a set of 6. We do still carry the current markers in some colors individually or in the color sets. You also will need to use the Blendabilities with the new Memento Black stamp pad to prevent smearing (Stazon does not work with these). The white marker one at top is the color lifter and will be used to further highlight/lighten areas desired once colored in. (Other colors shown in previous post)
Below is a comparision sample between our current markers and the new Blendabilities. The card on the left is done with Pumpkin Pie Blendabilities and the card on the right is done with original Pumpkin Pie Marker. Oh and with these samples you are getting a sneak peak at the new single stamp "Blended Bloom". Isn't it pretty and works marvelous with the Blendabilities. LOL! The sentiment is from "Sassy Salutations" and is still in catty. Yeah!
These were done using the Daffodil Delight set. The one on the left uses the med. Pumpkin Pie and the med. and light Daffodil Delight ones. So you can mix the sets together. See how well the shades blended. Notice that the curled up edge is lighter than the rest on the flower, that was done using the Color Lifter.
Next the new In Colors. These cards use the new colors Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist. The other two colors are Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadows. I haven't stamp anything yet with the other 2 colors, but below is a picture of all 5 markers for the new In Colors. The stamp set used is also new, "Work of Art." I absolutely LOVE this set. It is so versatile and I know I will be using it a lot.
Well, that is all I have of the new product to share today. Hope you enjoyed and are as excited I am for the new 2014-'15 Stampin' Up! Catalog to go live on June 2.
I will be having my Open House on June 7th and you will get your catalog, get to play with the Blendabilities and the 2 stamps I showed you here. As always, those that RSVP by June 4th and show up will receive a small gift from me. These will be simple refreshments and door prizes. Go to my DBWS for details, www.stampindragon.stampinup.net
